Minor Hockey, Fundraisers and Other Events

The goal of the Western Canada Collectibles Experience is to grow into a complete collectors or sports fan overall experience featuring things like meet-n-greets, on-ice opportunities, banquets, contests, social settings and other events to help build a sense of community. This year we have the Vancouver Giants hosting the Kamloops Blazers, A new Trade Night where fellow collectors can complete sets or add to their own personal collections and the always popular Timbits Hockey Jamboree, a massive day-long tournament for H1 aged hockey players. Others are getting involved as well, The Joseph Richards Group is holding its "One Night Out" fundraiser following the Giants game on Friday night and the traditional Douglas Days Banquet will take place on Saturday afternoon.

DOUGLAS DAY - SATURDAY NOVEMBER 19, AFTERNOON

On November 19, 1858, he made the proclamation which created the crown colony of BC at the Big House in Fort Langley, earning the community the title of “The Birthplace of BC.” Pioneers – those who are at least 70 years of age and have lived in the Langleys for 60 years or more – and guests gather at the Langley Events Centre where they are celebrated with lunch, entertainment, and special presentations.

TIMBITS TOURNAMENT - SUNDAY NOVEMBER 20, ALL DAY

For many, this is their very first ‘tournament’, and it’s totally free for teams to join. Here are just a few highlights of the day:

    • Giants players stand in as coaches on each team

    • Teams get a complimentary team photo
